REVIEW: Choc Chicos Dairy Free Chocolate Making Kit (DXB)

Firstly I would like to say how much I enjoyed this kit because it was fun and it's great to taste chocolate you've made yourself at the end of it.

It was very easy to make and only took me around ten minutes to complete and an hour to set.

It tastes better than your store bought chocolate and is completely organic.

I would definitely recommend to kids of all ages. The instructions were very easy to follow.

Raw chocolate is chocolate which is made from unroasted Cocoa beans and cold pressed cocoa butter and no dairy products are added which makes them great for vegan people and people with a gluten or lactose free diet.

What's inside: Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Powder, Sweet Freedom Sweetener, Mini Cases, 3 Cocoa Beans and a Chocolate Recipe Card.

First I melted my cocoa butter in a bowl over hot water.

This is how it looks when it's mostly melted:

Next in is two tablespoons of cocoa powder.

And two tablespoons of Sweet Freedom Sweetener is added to this.

I mixed this altogether with a whisk and it looks just like melted chocolate.

Finally I put this mixture into my mini cases and then put them in the freezer (I made a bit of a mess!).

In a rush to eat them, I forgot to photo the finished chocolates, but they looked a little something like this:

The Choc Chicos Kit costs £9.99. Choc Chick also do a Choc Chick Starter Kit that's aimed more towards adults and it only costs £12.99.

You can have a look at all of their kits and more on their website - http://www.chocchick.com/ or visit their Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/ChocChick/.

REVIEW: Motorola MBP853CONNECT Baby Monitor (YB)

I was sent the Motorola MBP853CONNECT baby monitor to review...

The MBP853 Connect is a HD WiFi connected video monitor with a 3.5" colour LCD parent unit that live stream's video from the camera in the baby's room.

I'm not afraid of technology, so had it been a challenge to set up, I'd have welcomed the challenge, but I honestly have to say, you really couldn't get much simpler to set up.

In the box was the monitor and power lead, the camera and power lead, the battery and battery cover and the instruction leaflet.

Putting the battery into the monitor was very quick and simple and then the battery cover screws on quickly & easily.

The next step is setting it up. Again, a very simple process. You put the camera in the baby's bedroom and the monitor wherever you want it. You switch them both on, then press the sync button, nice & easy.

An added feature for this baby monitor, is the ability to download the Hubble app on your smartphone or tablet (on iOS or Android) - meaning you can keep an eye on your baby from anywhere, not just where the monitor is. You can also download it on your PC for viewing only - the setup has to be done on the app.

^^ The Hubble app on my phone ^^
You can hear sound and watch your baby live on the monitor or on your phone/tablet. It also detects motion. You can even pan and tilt from your device or the monitor, meaning you can adjust the direction the camera is pointing to see your baby from a different/better angle without having to go in their room to do it & risking disturbing them.

You can also talk to your baby through the monitor, if they wake up alarmed, you can reassure them by talking to them.

Another great feature is the ability to start playing one of 5 pieces of soothing music to calm your baby. Again, this is something you can control from your device through the Hubble app or via the monitor.

You can also take photo's or video's from the app on your device, so if you'd like to take some sleepy photo's or video's to treasure, this is a perfect feature too.

The camera provides a crisp, clean live video of your baby. You get excellent clarity whether it's light, dim or dark (with it's infrared night vision) as you can see from the photo's below...

^^ With the main light on ^^
^^ With just the lamp on ^^
^^ In the dark (no lights on whatsoever) ^^
Another really good feature of the system is it detects and monitors room temperature, meaning you can make sure your baby is not too hot and not too cold. You can also set an alert to let you know if your babies room is too hot or too cold.

The monitor is very versatile. You could just as easily use it as a home monitor when you are away on holiday. That way you can keep an eye on your home while your away via the Hubble app on your phone and you'll get a notification if any motion was to be detected in the room. You can also add additional cameras if you wanted to monitor more than one room.

The MBP853 Connect is available now and retails at around £169.99.

REVIEW: InfaCare Night-Time Baby Bath (YB)

I was sent a sample of InfaCare Night-Time Baby Bath to review...

Firstly, the baby bath solution has a nicely mild, subtle fragrance. It is kind to the sensitive skin of a baby and suitable for regular use. It is clinically tested and pH balanced.

It's really easy to use, you add just a little bit to running water as you are running the bath (or maybe a bit extra if your little one loves bubbles as much as my little man does!).

The bubbles lasted a nice long time, meaning lots of splashing fun, fun with bubbles and playtime with his bath toys - perfect! Little man absolutely LOVES bubbles - he spends ages trying to pop them all or blowing them around!

The night-time baby bath solution is specifically designed to help relax and soothe baby ready for bedtime and a peaceful nights sleep. It really works too, it left little man worn out & feeling sleepy and he was soon sound asleep...

InfaCare comes in two sizes, 400ml and 750ml and is available from leading high street stores including Asda, Tesco, The Co-Op, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Boots, Wilkinson & Lloyds Pharmacy. You can also buy it online at Amazon and eBay.

REVIEW: Nurture Drinks (YB)

I was sent a couple of the Nurture drinks to review...

There was Cherry & Strawberry  Fruity Water+ and Orange & Pineapple Fruity Water+. This is suitable from 1 year old and a 200ml bottle contains 45% juice and 55% water and helps to support your child's immunity. It also has a mess free spout to save on those inevitable messy situations little kids get into!

It's a still water that contains juice and vitamins - Niacin (B3), Pantothenic Acid (B5), B6, Folate (B9), B12, C, D, Calcium, Zinc & Wellmune Bet Glucans. It contains no artificial sweeteners. preservatives or other nasties. It is also free from lactose and gluten and the drinks are vegan friendly.

Vitamins B6, Folate (B9), B12, C, D and Zinc all contribute to the normal function of the immune system.

Calcium and Vitamin D are needed for normal growth and development of bones in children, and maintenance of teeth.

While I haven't personally tried them, my little man seems to really enjoy them. They've quenched his thirst whether in the house or out and about in the park.

They're really convenient and I love the fact that I know my little man is getting the vitamins & minerals he needs while having a drink he is clearly enjoying!

REVIEW: ChocOnChoc (YB)

I was sent a sample of ChocOnChoc to review. I was sent these lolly ice shaped chocolates...

ChocOnChoc use delicious Belgian chocolate to create fun & unique chocolates, suitable for the old and young, as kids and adults alike will love them equally.

I absolutely loved the lolly ice designs. As did my husband and our two boys. They were designed to look like a Fab, Rocket, Twister and just a standard lolly ice (I think) with a "bite" taken out of it (obviously by design rather than a pre-nibbled chocolate!).

Living in England, summer isn't all sunshine. With these chocolates, on a rainy day, you could shut your curtains or blinds and eat these chocolates and pretend you're at the beach in your home! You don't need to wait for the sunshine and warmth for real ice cream!

My boys loved their ones as you can see from the photo's...

The designs are perfect, they look really good and would make a great, fun gift for the kids or as a retro throwback treat for a nostalgic adult.

They are very tasty too. The chocolate is delicious, excellent quality chocolate.

The Retro Chocolate Ice Lollies Set is just £15 to buy and is of course, but one of their very many designs.

ChocOnChoc sell lots of designs, and your sure to find a suitable one as a gift. As well as a range that can be personalised too.

For small children, fantastic gifts would be the Chocolate Zoo Collection or the Chocolate Farmyard Collection.

For tweens, maybe the Make Your Own Chocolate House or the Chocolate Egg On Toast would make perfect gifts.

And for teenagers/older children, the Chocolate Makeup Set for the girls and the Chocolate Biscuits for the boys.

If you've got a poorly family member or friend who is in hospital, why not ditch the traditional fruit basket and cheer them up even more with a Chocolate Fruit Basket!

Why not surprise someone you love with Chocolate Love & Kisses. If you brought them this unexpectedly, you would certainly make them feel loved!

A perfect gift for a school or university leaver would be the Chocolate Miniture Books or the Chocolate Stationery Set. A little way to reward them for all their hard work. Or maybe a bit of encouragement for back to school, when after all the fun of the summer holidays, the kids aren't exactly thrilled to be going back to school.

"Bath-based luxury chocolatier ChocOnChoc (www.choconchoc.co.uk) has discovered the most delicious way to study with their bespoke chocolate creations – all made from pure Belgian chocolate and refashioned into desktop designs.
Crafted using the brand’s patented chocolate layering technique, invented by its founders – Flo Broughton and her father Kerr Dunlop – and from which it takes its name, this intricate method decadently layers chocolate on top of chocolate to create the most intricate and beautiful designs imaginable.  Choc on Choc creates every single chocolate by hand at the infamous ‘Chocolate House’ in Rode, a small village near Bath in England."
