I'm watching the racing from Newmarket on ITV today, so I thought I'd do my e/w predictions for Newmarket, Ascot & York. I'd normally do wins as well, but I don't have the time...

HORSE RACING: Royal Ascot - Day 5 Predictions (YB)

Onto the fifth and final day of Royal Ascot. Here are my predictions for today...

14:30 - Win: Beyond Reason, E/W: On A Session, Outsider: Nate The Great
15:05 - Win: Crystal Ocean, E/W: Barsanti, Outsider: Red Verdon
15:40 - Win: Van Beethoven, E/W: Junius Brutus, Outsider: James Watt
16:20 - Win: Harry Angel, E/W: City Light, Outsider: D'bai
17:00 - Win: Dreamfield, E/W: Undrafted, Outsider: Silent Echo
17:35 - Win: Light Pillar, E/W: Fun Mac, Outsider: Uber Cool

So, how did my predictions do yesterday? Out of my 6 win predictions I got just 1/6 correct. As for my E/W predictions, just 1/6 correct. And finally, my outsider predictions got me a whopping 0/6! Pretty terrible again on day four! Judging by how terribly I've done, I doubt day 5 is going to go much better!

Onto the third day of Royal Ascot. Here are my predictions for today...

14:30 - Win: Shang Shang Shang, E/W: Glory Fighter, Outsider: Rumble Inthejungle
15:05 - Win: Wadilsafa, E/W: Main Street, Outsider: Mini P
15:40 - Win: Athena, E/W: Dancing Brave Bear, Outsider: Highgarden
16:20 - Win: Vazirabad, E/W: Desert Skyline, Outsider: Torcedor
17:00 - Win: First Contact, E/W: Curiosity, Outsider: Completion
17:35 - Win: Cross Counter, E/W: Communique, Outsider: Lucius Tiberius

So, how did my predictions do yesterday? Out of my 6 win predictions I got just 1/6 correct. As for my E/W predictions, just 2/6 correct. And finally, my outsider predictions got me a great big 0/6! Pretty terrible again on day two, so I'm hoping day three goes better!

So, how did my predictions do yesterday? Out of my 6 win predictions I got a mere 1/6 correct. As for my E/W predictions, again I only got 1/6 correct. Let's hope I do better on day two.

I did get a few outsider E/W bets come in that I actually placed a bet on - Mabs Cross & Monarch's Glen being the most notable.
